High-Five Billboard

The biggest high-five ever just got even bigger! This exciting high-five photo with the legendary Brett Tippie is being featured by Tourism Kamloops as a billboard promoting good times and mountain biking in Kamloops. This is also mine and Brett's first billboard, so its a big milestone for the both of us.

It all started with a random phone call from Brett Tippie with an invite to participate in a TV show as a guest photographer. On that day things got going quick with an action plan that would take us through the day and land us at the perfect spot for a sunset shoot at one of Kamloops most iconic locations. The plan went down flawlessly, the day was on point. After we nailed our sunset shot, I knew I had captured something absolutely amazing. So as soon as Tippie got back up to the top I greeted him with hoots, hollers and a high-five photo to cap off my photo story for the day.

This is our sunset photo we had taken minutes before that had us so excited. This photo was also nominated as one of the top 32 photos of the year for Pink Bikes 2015 POY contest.

The billboard is located on the Trans Canada Highway #1 just outside of Salmon Arm B.C. on your way to Kamloops.

Here's where things get crazy weird. Do you believe in fate, telepathy or the universe lining up? Easter long weekend I took a trip to the Kootenays to visit some family. On the way home I knew I was going to search out and stop for some photos with the billboard. Very randomly Brett Tippie and I showed up at the billboard at the Exact same time! I was travelling home to Kamloops and Brett was travelling back to the West Coast. We had no prior knowledge of each others plans. So some how, some way, we were meant to get together for a celebration photo!
